I was born in Kansas City, attended CRAS in Tempe Arizona, and worked for the Legendary Can/Am studios as the assistant engineer to Grammy Award-winning sound mixer Jeffery Clark Poe. I love all things audio and my work over the past 23 years has ranged from music and film to an educational symposium with the Kansas City Missouri school district and local tech companies.
Six years ago I got into producing podcasts working with two Kansas City, based Registered Dietitians and learned a ton about the world of eating disorders and disordered eating. It not only changed my relationship with food but also my views on body image. I mention it here because I've grown fond of working with professionals with a focus on health and body image through my skillset of sound recording.
Currently, I am located at 17th and Broadway (Crossroads District) at Phosphor Studio where I am the resident sound engineer. I am constantly learning about the latest technologies, formats, standards, and audio trends. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new perspectives so reach out if you'd like to discuss anything audio.
When I was nine years old I took my older brother's brand-new home stereo system apart. Before I could put it back together he walked into a pile of components laying on our bedroom floor. He had a few words for me. In response, I put it back together and rearranged all of the buttons and dials so he'd have no idea how to control his system (he didn't find it funny). I've spent nearly four decades dismantling and reassembling audio systems and it's just as fun today as it was when I was nine years old.
