2022 ISTEAMKC: WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT & REAL WORLD LEARNING

STEAM SYMPOSIUM HONORS 25TH GEM THEATER ANNIVERSARY WITH DISCUSSIONS SURROUNDING WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

The 2022 iSTEAM KC Workforce Development Symposium is a premier event dedicated to advancing careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Held at the historic Gem Theater in the 18th & Vine District, this symposium brings together industry leaders, educators, and aspiring professionals for a day of immersive workshops, insightful panel discussions, and hands-on demonstrations. Participants will explore cutting-edge technologies, engage with expert speakers, and network with peers, all while gaining valuable skills and knowledge to thrive in today's dynamic workforce. The Symposium featured representatives from Kansas City’s workforce and foundation entities. Four Workforce Development Round Table Discussions were held onstage at the Theater in the morning, followed by two panel discussions in the afternoon. Over 125 representatives from agencies and companies were in attendance.

“We will also formally announce that we are re-branding. Our new focus will be iSTEAMKC, a program dedicated to a combination of the arts, media technology and workforce development” said Pat Jordan, President of iSTEAMKC.
